What materials did you use? 100% cotton batiks

What are you most proud of? The points match. Also I think my stained glass border treatment suits the quilt better than the border shown in the book.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used batik fabric because the higher thread count makes it less stretchy. Connectingthreads.com has great prices on batik precuts.

Denise, wondering where the instructions are for Crystal Reflections. Love this quilt & would like to make it. It's on Craftsy as a free pattern. Thanks. Louise

Hi Louise. I used the description inspired by "the pattern Scrappy Hunter's Star in the book A Baker's Dozen" because I did not exactly follow the pattern shown in the book. I added another row, and what I call my stained glass border treatment. I see on amazon.com that there are two books now called A Bakers Dozen. It is the book from The Patchwork Patch. You will see their version of the quilt on the front cover. It has instructions on how to make the quilt from a jellyroll and a layer cake. If you want to replicate my stain glass border treatment the inner most white border finishes at 1", the spacers between the colored peices finish at 1", the color peices in border 2 proceeding outwards finish at 2" x 6.5" (cut down from the 7" left over peice of the layer cake, the next white border out finshes at 1.25", the colored peices in the next border out finish at 2.25" x 9.5" (cut down from the 10" left over peice of the layer cake), and the final white outer border finishes at 1.5". Happy quilting.

Thanks for noticing Andrea. I challenged myself to to really hit the points on this quilt. Some times I had to get the seam ripper out twice per point.
