|Here are some details about my project:|
|Style||Classic, Retro Vintage|
What materials did you use? Light pink interlock knit, old tank top, clear elastic, fusible batting tape, Cotton-Look Poly Thread.
What are you most proud of? I love the band, Love and the Outcome, and in their He is With Us music video, Jodi is wearing a shirt with a big cross on it. I was inspired by that to make my own cross shirt! They sang at Lifelight music festival near where we live. I finished the shirt in the morning, and saw them in concert in the afternoon! After the concert, I met them and got their autographs!
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used the "Easy Tee" pattern from the blog, "It's Always Autumn". You only have to cut a front and a back piece! I cut the cross out of a spaghetti strap tank top that was my sister's (I don't wear spaghetti strap shirts, but I loved the fabric, so I just kept holding on to it!) To hem the sleeves, I used the technique with the clear elastic that meg showed us in sewing the dress. It worked really good! I iron-fused the cross to the shirt and sewed it, leaving the raw eges.
