Not sure why my comments are multiplying themselves like that ... This is really annoying :(

Went to my first crochet class. Is it possible to have four thumbs? But I refuse to give up....I've knitted and keep wanting to do that. This weekend I will practice, practice, practice. I did get the pattern for this, so will keep on trying.

i am new to crochet, will this be an easy project to start with?

Very easy ! Pick up a non-elastic yarn like the blend cotton-acryl from DROPS I have used, and a crochet a little under the number advised for the yarn (I have used a 4 mm instead of 5 or 6) so that the result is stiff. And off you are, with a spiralling project (no join in the round, you just crochet a continuous spiral). It is single crochet all along - just one "round" done in the back loops. Go for it ! It is fun to do, and highly customizable.

The pattern can be downloaded for free from Ravelry. There is a link to it in this project page.
