What was your inspiration?

Checking out the fabulous crafting tutorials you can find on the web. I love to try new things.

What are you most proud of?

I'm happy with the balance I've found in combining the sizes, colours and styles.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Keep your sizes within a range. Too large and too small tend not to work as well. Also works best when you vary the shapes. I add large seed beads into the foundation chains on two of the strands - I like how it carries the colours throughout, but also feel it nicely strengthens the sides.

sorry about that, I don't know where my link went, but this was the video at Auntie's Beads that inspired me - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZMh1YqX8GE

This is really cute, my mother has ribbon like this, but this is prettier!

The wire gives it a lovely look the way it sits at the neckline, but I'm sure a ribbon version would also be very pretty.

I'm just starting out with jewelry making. Well, I've got quite a collection of things, but still don't know HOW to do it. I have g'daughters that I would love to make jewelry for. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I started with just simple stringing of beads. It's so much fun to mix the colours and textures, etc. and I'm sure your granddaughters would be happy with anything you make! Just jump in - that's the best way.
