What was your inspiration?

Each year when we get enough rain in the fall and winter, we are treated to the most amazing spring wildflowers on our property in Austin, TX. Last year we were lucky enough to have such a year and that is what inspired me to make these gorgeous wildflowers.

What are you most proud of?

I am so happy with how realistic they look. That was my goal, using crochet to make a very realistic looking flower. We took this photo out amongst the real wildflowers for a very natural setting.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I am working on the patterns for each flower, but they are not ready yet. I want to make sure they are perfect!

They are simply beautiful. If you ever perfect your pattern, would you share or sell it. I gotta have them. I just love them. Sheila
