What was your inspiration?
The fabric and the yarn and of course, the pattern. It looked like a fun project and I just wanted to put something nice together.
What are you most proud of?
The way the crochet border hides the stitches.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
My mom sews, so she really helped me out with the sewing part. Things that aren't explained in the pattern: when you fold the fabric for your seam, you have to fold it over twice; you also have to iron out the seams. I suggest doing one vertical side and one horizontal side, folding the fabric over twice, then iron out one inch on the other two sides and see how much more you need to fold it to fit the blanket.
