What was your inspiration?
I wanted something other than a traditional granny square design. This blanket is for my granddaughter's bedroom, which I am decorating in shades of pink and dark blue. I also wanted a blanket large enough for her to use into the toddler years.

Actually getting the section sizes to match!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Map out the design in four separate sections. Then attach those four sections together. I re-worked my sections until I got the size and colors in the right areas.
