What was your inspiration?
Octopus are so beautiful with their undulating, curling, tendril-like arms. I wanted to create a pattern that was cute but also realistic.
What are you most proud of?
This pattern seems to get really good results for everyone-- yarn types and hook sizes make each one unique as the arms curl or interact with each other differently.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try many different yarns! There are mix-and-match arm shape options in this pattern, and each one has changing qualities in various materials.
