For the Baby Owlet hat I used a free Red Heart Yarn pattern for the earflap hat. I used the same pattern for the child size hat but I used ww yarn instead of the sport weight used in the patten and a larger hook. I did add one row worked even on the earflaps after dec down to 7 stitches. Child size-Full O' Sheep 100% peruvian Wool (worsted weight) and 5 mm hook. Baby Owlet-DK weight unknown yarn from the good will store.

As always, my grandkids. And nature. My two great loves.
What are you most proud of?
That the first one I attempted turned out so well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just experiment. Try different colour combinations. The next one I do will be in blues I think.
