What was your inspiration?

I saw this on Ravelry and couldn't wait to make one for myself! This is a free pattern on Ravelry called ALUMINUM CROCHET HOOK CASE by PRISCILLA HEWITT

This is soooo functional and can be changed to fit your personality. Its nice and stiff as it has a piece of plastic canvas inbetween the two layers.

I added the chain across to hold my stitch holders. I LOVE this case and take it with me whenever I take a project to work on. You can put your scissors and needles in this too.

What are you most proud of?

I usually only do baby clothes and afghans and this had some fitting to it. I am proud of myself for finishing this project in just one day! If I can do it you can too! lol

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Read the directions carefully as you go and take your time. This pattern is not hard but has some things in it that other patterns don't have. You make the hook holders as you go. Not hard but may take a little extra attention. Not a pattern to do mindlessly as you watch tv

I'm trying to do this right now and I am confused right from the beginning. Can you explain where do I go when it says "turn clockwise, dc in the free loops of the same 20 sc to form the front of the hook pocket." I am sooo confused right now!!!!On my piece right now I have an edge that looks like it can be bent. Is that where I do the dc at? Thanks for your help. I'm very new at this and this didn't look too bad at first.

I don't have the pattern right in front of me but I think you DC in the 20 then turn so you can DC in each back bump of the same 20 you just DC'd in
