What hooks or other tools did you use? US G-6/4.00mm

What materials did you use? Royal or Aunt Lydia's by Coats & Clark 100% Cotton Crochet Thread, Size #3. And small buttons. I used hook size G/4mm but you can also use smaller hook F/3.5mm.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure the bead hole size is large enough for the crochet thread and beads are heavy enough to weight down the cover. Use a beading needle.

Crochet button cover is perfect for my Mason jar drinks outdoors! Make any size for drinks and food containers to keep bugs & debris away. Add beads, buttons, or charms to the ends to weight it down. Choose a different color for all your guests! It's a simple pattern using single and double crochet stitches.
