I have been crocheting since I was 5 years old and now I am 62. A lot of my patterns and designs were destroyed in a fire years ago. I am now waiting on pins and needles for my 8th grandchild a girl, my daughter's first child and a niece who is having a baby. Both young ladies were told they would never have children.

I would recommend picking up an instruction card at Hobby Lobby or Michael's. They list the abbreviations for the stitches and then you can read any pattern. They also show you how to do the stitches. The laminated card I got was about $3.00 american.

You can go online and get any and all of the abbreviations for crocheting and knitting. Just GOGGLE it, thats all I do when I am in a bind.

GOGGLE it! When I get in a bind about anything that is what I do. Just pull up Goggle, and type in what you are looking for.
