What was your inspiration?
I love to embroider as well as crochet and I wanted to unite the two but by using ribbon lazy daisy stitches. These sweet little shoes were the result.
What are you most proud of?
The style and shape of the shoe. The design is not only adorable to look at but it is also a very functional design so the shoe stays on whether worn indoors or outdoors! Also the buttoned strap is a real buttoned strap and not just for decoration like many baby shoe designs on the market.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a fairly easy pattern to try if you are familar with basic crochet stitches but the key to a good lazy daisy stitch has to be keeping your second thread through close the first. Diagrams are included in the pattern on how to make the stitches.
