Instructions

Crimp is a slouchy tucked hat with textural ribbing detail on the crown and wide brim. Knit in soft, hand-dyed superwash, and a companion to the Crimpy Mitts.

Techniques Used: knit/purl, tuck stitch, decreasing.
Experience Level: Adventurous Beginner. This pattern contains written instructions and a photo tutorial for the tuck stitch.

Yarn: Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino wool, 210 yards), 1 skein; Needle: US 7 DPNs or 32 circular needle if using Magic Loop, or size to match gauge; Spare US 7 DPN for tucks; Stitch markers (8); Yarn needle. Gauge: 20 st x 28 rows/4 in stockinette stitch.
