What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make a theme that is important to you. Ex; Garden, beach, mountains, sewing...anything really.

Thank you. I hope to add more items this fall. We are in the middle of selling our home and everything is packed. We will be moved in September and I can begin again. I am suffering from withdrawal, not being able to create.

Wow, some beautiful work. How long did it take you to complete? Were the children involved in deciding where things were to be placed?

Thanks for your kindness. Each block took about a month to complete. I chose a wall hanging for my children, a quilt seemed too much for storing and displaying. My children did not decide where items were placed. What I did was include a dragonfly in each piece, our monogram of "C", buttons from Scotland we found in a thrift store-things that mean something to us. Each child chose the piece they wanted-all the pieces had connections to memories our family created.
