What was your inspiration?
I needed a new purse - the old one is very tatty, and I couldn't decide what I wanted, so I made a bunch of different styles. I ended up using the big handbag with 2 small purses inside - one with cash & everyday cards in, the other to hold the several thousand other cards I have that only get used a few times a year.
What are you most proud of?
The handbag has zip AND snap closures, so it's toddler-proof (for now). I also really love the green tri-fold one, but haven't found a reason to use it yet.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be very careful - crazy patchwork is highly addictive. You will find yourself cutting up perfectly good pieces of fabric to make new scraps!
