Crazy Patchwork Pouch »
InstructionsPage 26 will be the beginning of the instructions for this beautiful little bag! My bag looks somewhat different because I had somewhat different materials, but I think it turned out alot like the one in the book! I love it.
Type of item: Accessory
Style: Retro / Vintage, Whimsical, Romantic
This is found on page 26 of the book 21 Sensational Patchwork bags and that book is where the link below will take you.
What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was my cousin Lorinda. I was making this as her "Pay it Forward" gift and she makes jewelry. I envisioned her using it as a jewelry pouch for some reason, or a clutch with a little black dress...for a very special occasion.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud to have completed the project and replicated the original for the most part with the exception of being able to duplicate the fabrics...it is still a one of a kind, that is for sure!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure if you are foundation piecing a piece going at an odd angle that you have cut an extra large piece of fabric and figured out how the material will fold once it is flipped so that it covers all the necessary area. Foundation piecing is easy once you learn all the little tricks to the shapes.
