What was your inspiration?
The fabric itself was the inspiration. When I saw the fabric with multiple whimsical cats in the store, it just shouted to me "crazy patch!" I've used the fabric in a couple dozen different crazy patch designs - pouches, totes, and book covers.
What are you most proud of?
How I was able to get so many different color scheme items from that one fabric - and I'm quite pleased with the result on all of them.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are new to making zippered pouches, there is a free Craftsy mini-course that might be helpful. Also, if you are new to crazy patching, do a web search for "how to crazy patch." You'll find a number of helpful tutorials.
