What was your inspiration?
The fabric itself was the inspiration. When I saw it, with all its different little whimsical cats, in the store, I immediately thought "crazy patch"! I've made a few dozen projects with the cat images as the focal point.
What are you most proud of?
How I was able to use that cat print along with existing fabric scraps to create so many different color scheme patchwork items and had them all look good to my eye.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are a beginner at sewing, by all means learn to do crazy patch. There are many helpful tutorials on the web. It can be just so much fun and is a great way to create your own designs out of fabric scraps. There is an Craftsy tutorial on making zip pouches, too, if that is new to you.
