Placemat is done by "the quilt as you go method" , all three layers combined at once, found in you tube.the table runner is done in three seperate layers as usually.
Tried the lazy binding version: start at the back and machine sew up front!!! Yes!!!! :-)

What was your inspiration?
....just keep on trying to quilt. still have to get used to my machine, lots of mistakes in this project, never mind, I have passed it on as a birthday gift today and the birthday girl was happy :-)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I would now choose uni colored stripes around the wonky squares in the middle, mine looks now a bit too crazy :-)
