What are you most proud of? I felt so special in my wedding dress, and very proud that I'd made it myself. I also had a real sense of satisfaction that it cost 150 (including a 75 handmade petticoat that I purchased from http://www.houseofolivier.co.uk/) 2,850 less than the bridal shop version I tried on)!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient, and make a sample version out of muslin or an old sheet. It'll really help you understand the construction of the dress because it's a little tricky to get your head around when you read the instructions... Well it was for me anyway!!!

A very beautiful one off dress, worn by a very bright, talented, and beautiful woman. To be confident enough to use your ideas, to design and make your own wedding dress, takes a very special, individual, with a very special sewing talent.
