What materials did you use? This is my first quilt which I call ?Craftsy on Steroids? because it is a culmination of multiple Craftsly classes all in one! Even the fabrics were purchased on Craftsy: The gray solids are from a Kona jelly roll called Silent Film and the prints are Andover Pearl Bracelets. The blocks are a variation of Fantasy Four Patch from Joe Cunningham?s PATTERN FREE QUILTMAKING class. The block formatting and borders were inspired by Camille Roskelley?s Layer Cake 2 in PLAYFUL PIECING TECHNIQUES. For the backing, I used Elizabeth Hartman?s CREATIVE QUILT BACKS suggestion of inserting a block mimicking the pattern on the quilt top. I machine quilted for the very first time using concentric gentle curves from Jacquie Gering?s CREATIVE QUILTING WITH YOUR WALKING FOOT class. Finally, I finished the quilt with a mitered corner binding technique from Mimi Dietrich?s FINISHING SCHOOL. It?s my first quilt, so don?t look too closely!

Your first quilt??? Wow, and wow again! You did an excellent job, regardless of skill level. Love the design, and as soon as I saw the quilting, I knew it was from Jacquie's class. Everything works on it! I love how you explained the name of your quilt. I too, get inspired and use different techniques from different courses on the same project. Kudos and Congratulations to you. If this is your first quilt, I can only wonder what future projects you have coming down the road!

WOW! If this is your first, I can't wait to see what you do in the future. I have found Craftsy to be an extraordinary site for my quilting education. Even though I've been quilting for about 30 years, I an still learning SO much for the courses offered here. You keep up the excellent work, I'll be following you!

Thank you! I'm enjoying all my classes as well and have learned and been inspired by so much. I'll be posting a few more quilts soon, some more successful than others...
