The only thing that I ended up doing after I had to rip a whole square out on the String Block is to also draw the line down. I obviously can't stitch a straight line and my fabric didn't lne up. Much easier having a guide to follow on the first strips.Difficulty:

To learn how to quilt.
What are you most proud of?
That so far I think I'm doing a darn good job and I'm loving the color combination.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I bought cheaper fabric from my local craft store because I knew I'd be ripping seams out at least once. By using coupons and cheaper fabric I'm learning so when I'm confident in my skills I'll be able to spend the extra money on nice, quality fabric
