I love what you have done so far. I also love the board your blocks are on, how do you make one?

Hi nmackay - not sure what I did but here goes again. Thanks for your comments about the blocks. They are totally scraps. The board is a piece of caneite that we got from our local building supplier (not Bunnings - we are a bit far from the closest one!!) It covered it with an old cotton sheet that a very dear friend gave me out of her mother-in-laws linen cupboard. It is quality plus - the sheet that is! The board is perfect. I can just pin things on it and stand back - and often think Oh dear! But anyway - that's what it is. Had considered cork but couldn't find anything big enough and at the right price.

Thanks for your comment vivintx. My main reason for taking part in this class is to learn new techniques and I'm certainly doing that. I seem to have a lot of scraps - do they multiply at night???!!! - so they are a good springboard. We are away now for a few weeks but I'm very keen to catch up where I left and particularly to try the Dresden plate - never done one of those before. Will look forward to seeing what you do.
