Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

Amy is a GREAT teacher. Watch the videos, then print out the paper instructions for your sewing room action.

These are first time attempts for me, so they are NOT perfect. I will do them again as I continue to learn.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky, Traditional

Materials

Cotton Fat quarters. I had bought this set of 'Civil War' prints a couple of years ago, and when I got them home, I didn't like them too much! So they sat. Since this lesson is all about experiments, I thought I could use them up this year!

What was your inspiration?

Craftsy!

What are you most proud of?

Just trying new things.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be careful about using prints with lines/plaids on them when your pieces will be touching....they don't always match up, and then it doesn't look the best. (see the red triangle pieces above? I'm not liking that.)
I'm LEARNING!

Beautiful job! Colors are pretty for Fall, also. I too, like the civil war fabrics....I want to take the class on civil war quilting eventually. Very pretty!
