Fabrics from my stash.
What was your inspiration?
I've always made traditional quilts. One of my New Year resolutions was to 'step out of the box'. This course was just the push I needed to try something new.
What are you most proud of?
I've joined a quilt challenge which, for January, requires that only solid fabrics in warm colors are to be used. I was able to combine that challenge with this course and the fabrics all came out of my own quilt stash. See photo titled January BOM and Challenge.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Try it! It's fun and interesting and very satisfying at the end! The quilt instructor did an excellent job of presenting the techniques required to successfully accomplish January's Block of the Month. The written course instructions are very well done and were right by my side as I cut and sewed the two blocks.
