What are you most proud of?

I like how this turned out. I made a four patch for the background piece, then constructed the wheel so that the pieces would line up with the background to give it a different effect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just have fun!

That is fantastic! What a neat idea mixing up your background fabric - now I want to redu all my blocks lol :) did you get the background fabric from a fat quarter pack or something like that? I really like the design and I would like to see similar fabtics - is it Moda?

I have a nice large stash of Kaffe Fassett fabric, I have purchased a few pieces to add to the mix along the way. You can purchase Kaffe fabrics lots of places, here is a link that will let you see the line, but as I said you can purchase it lots of places. http://www.kaffefassett.com/Fabrics.html One of my favorite places to purchase is www.fabric.com, they seem to always have some on sale and you can add to your collection easily. I always think I should have purchased more, just as I am cutting the last bit...LOL

Thank you Mary, I am just using Kaffe Fassett fabrics and a few batiks...I made myself a rule for this BOM and that rule for me is to use a patterned fabric everywhere the instructor uses a solid, but it has to have the same effect as a solid, not necessarily that it "reads" solid, but that you would be able to discern the design elements. It's making the BOM a challenge for me and still lots of fun!
