Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

Scant 1/4 inch is key. Take your time with the rest and enjoy!

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Whimsical, Mod

Materials

Mix of fat quarters, with burgundy Red Rooster fabric as background.

What was your inspiration?

I found the Red Rooster fabric, which led me to my prints. Love the geese in the color on color background.

What are you most proud of?

That my scant 1/4 inch finally was truly a scant 1/4 inch! [and just getting it together] I was impatient and decided to use what I had for sashing. By using intersection blocks I had enough background for the sashing and will have enough for binding when done.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time with it and enjoy yourself! Definitely stick to that scant 1/4 inch seam.

have a narrow frame yet to go and I am paper piecing a border from all the prints in varying widths (3/4 to 2 inch). I have corner blocks of the burgundy.
