What are you most proud of?
English paper piecing seemed too tedious at first with all that hand sewing, but after making these, they are super easy and a great way to use up small scraps. I just brought the little hexies with me to my kids' lessons and worked on them while I waited for them. The time flew by!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
For the second block, I didn't want to follow the teacher's design. I looked at what other people did to get some ideas. I didn't really know what I was going to do so I just started using whatever scraps I had. In hindsight, I should have planned the scrap choices for the flower better so I didn't have two purple hexagons in the same flower since the purple is the center.
