Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Retro / Vintage, Whimsical, Cute

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to do a block that played around with different size hexagons. I was inspired by the blocks in the book "Block Party: The Modern Quilting Bee".

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Play around with the scale and color of your prints to have the block look balanced.

It was fun to play around and have it feel more "free-form".

This is really cool. With the designs on the fabric it looks like you really did more work than you did.
