What are you most proud of? I am thrilled with the quilting. It wasn't until last night when I was sewing on the binding that I was able to truly appreciate all the work that went into this quilt and to realize how proud I was of it. Never before in my quilting career have I had a quilt as flat as this one turned out to be with all of the quilting. Also, I really am pleased with the block-by-block construction. With my backing fabric, the seams between the blocks just disappear. Can you tell I am proud of myself?!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't let either class overwhelm you. Do the blocks with a friend and just do one a month. When it comes time to quilt it, I would suggest quilting it the block-by-block method that Leah Day provides, again so that you don't get overwhelmed. This project took longer that I ever take on a quilt with a year to construct and several months to quilt, but the end result is worth all of the work.

Love your fabric you used in the 2012 Block of the Month. What is the name of your fat quarter collection? I signed up for this last year and watched all the classes and Leah Day's sampler free-motion quilting and I am now ready to start the project.

Most of the fabrics came from Moda's line called Fandago by Kate Spain.

Just wondering if anyone has caught my "Amish" mistake? Hoping that I hid it well.

You hid it very well. Had to go back and really look for it. Beautiful quilt.

This looks great :) Did you quilt around each block before the free motion quilting?

I quilted each block seperately following Leah Day's instructions and then put all the blocks together.

Just as an update - I got extremely brave and entered this quilt into the Asheville Quilt Show. REALLY stepping out of my comfort level, but felt that this quilt was show worthy. If anyone goes to the Asheville Quilt Show the end of September, please let me know if you see it. I won't be able to go :(.
