I'm using different fabric because while I like the colors in the kit, I don't like them for my own space. I'm also using light/dark for contrast instead of complimentary colors, to keep my quilt in the blue/green colors.

The fabric on the top of the pile is one I found that includes almost every color I picked, which told me I must be on the right track. I bought it to make pillow cases, and to add borders if needed because I'm increasing the size of the quilt.
