What was your source for this knitting project?

Name of website or photo Everybody's Cowl Sweater
What materials did you use? 9-gauge (US) needles, Vanna's Choice (by Lion Brand) 100% Acrylic Medium Weight Yarn Color: Dusty Green (173), stitch holders, stitch markers, row counters.
What are you most proud of? I am most proud of actually creating a sweater as a second-ever knitting project. I learned a lot about measuring, correcting and maintaining gauge, how to knit two sides of a front at once, dropping stitches, sewing seams, picking up stitches from a bound-off edge (curved and vertical), and knitting with circular needles.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is an easy five-piece sweater. The back and sleeves are just rectangles, and the front is a rectangle with the neck opening. Once stitched together, the cowl neck is knitted with circular needles. For beginners like me, I highly recommend Teach Yourself Visually: Knitting by Sharon Turner. I bought this book to help with definitions and techniques, and has become my knitting bible. It has answers from basics like stitches and casting on/binding off, to how to size a sweater and how different measurements will hang on different body sizes. There are additional chapters on finishes and many knitting projects, as well. I will eventually progress to utilize those chapters, I'm sure.
