What materials did you use? Fashion fabric (purchased at The Common Thread, here in Austin, TX): Cotton chambray - Blue threads warp and orange-y weft makes it iridescent! Underlining: Silk Organza - Sort of a flesh/golden color Lining: TBD - Want to get a patterned silk of some kind, but something that won't show through...

What are you most proud of? I'm most proud of the fact that I didn't give up all those times I wanted to :-).

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Deciding to keep going really helped me keep learning. I screwed up the kick pleat on the back of my dress, and a bunch of other things, but I learned so many useful techniques doing this that I continue to use over and over on other projects. Stay with it!!

I've got a cross woven linen, can't wait to see more as you go along.

Beautiful fabric. How far along are you? I'm working on my muslin.

I've got it sewn together. It is a sleeveless, so I still need to determine the exact placing of armholes, stay stitch and press, and then make the lining.

Susan - I want to see a picture of the dress with you in it!

LOL! I have camera issues, plus I want to fix the kick pleat before I send it out to the universe. Maybe I should just get over that! Happy you are my craftsy friend!!
