What was your inspiration?

The two local cats - down by the river - looking for a mouse ..... that got away.

What are you most proud of?

You can have city cat chasing mice or country cats watching fish. I love the contrast.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you quilt in-the-ditch either side of the river is makes it stand slightly proud. I didn't quilt round the fish because I liked the effect of them floating on the water.

It is all detailed in the pattern. This project uses quick fuse applique (find out more on my blog) making this project quick and easy to do.

I'm 71 and like to make small projects that are fun. I am very happy I discovered your designs and I already have many of them to keep me busy.

We call the winnie dog a 'sausage dog' here in England and there is one in my village - a sweet little thing.

I have so many ideas and not enough time. Choosing the fabrics always takes the longest time I find. Once I have decided upon the colour and fabric the rest goes together quickly.
