Old blue jeans from my brother and sister-in-law (for a personal touch for their daughters) and brown upholstery fabric. The dresses are cotton.
What was your inspiration?
When I was a little girl, my mother made me a stuffed rabbit out of old blue jeans from our family and remnants of upholstery fabric. I treasured that little doll, and now my two nieces love her as well. I decided to make them their own bunnies for Christmas. I got blue jeans from their parents to use for the bodies to add a personal touch. They didn't turn out exactly as Mom's did (as they say, "It ain't like Momma made it") but I think they're pretty cute!
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the tradition that these dolls represent. I hope that as my nieces get older they will appreciate the love that went into them and maybe one day make some for their own children or nieces/nephews.
