Instructions

You will need twenty FQ's for this. Turning Twenty pattern. A contrasting color pop for the binding and cap corners. Was machine quilted with lines and squares for a finished look in cream colored thread.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Romantic, Traditional, Classic

Materials

Blues and creams fabric from Connecting Threads.com. This is a turning twenty pattern. Red binding and red cap corners for a color pop. This was machine quilted by a friend using a long arm and a linear pattern of squares and line which was very effective.

What was your inspiration?

Seeing a turning twenty pattern in a little book of various colors selections. I just liked the large blocks and had this blue set of FQ's so I sewed it up in less than a week. I added red for a pop and had it quilted by machine for a professional look since it was going to be given to my husband for our 18th Anniversary wedding gift.

What are you most proud of?

I decided to put a red binding for a color pop! This was given to my husband for our 18th wedding anniversary. He loves it. Well, he loves me and likes the quilt.....lol

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you have lots of color contrasts. It doesn't work if your fabrics are not varied in light and dark shades. Have a fun binding planned to give it a bit of a flare.

It was a little book with only a few patterns. It was more of a pamphlet. I will look in my box the next time I go to the storage and get the book. I am going to sell off all my books and will let you know when if you are interested. Thansk!
