Chenille, corded trim with taping, cotton lining for a bit more structure, pillow stuffing and the old backs of the original back pillows and the zippers of the original back pillows and cushions.
What was your inspiration?
Didn't have a choice after the original bottom cushion frayed away from the sides..... and I wanted to recycke as much as possible to keep the 'new' pieces looking like they came from the original set.
What are you most proud of?
The old and new blend beautifully together and the cushion corners match perfectly:)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
As always check for accuracy! If the corners don't match up on the bottom cushions the whole look will be affected. Use a very narrow zipper foot and incorporate enough seam allowance to use it for the piping as well- this makes the pattern match perfect as the fabric was not cut and resewn.
