What was your inspiration?
I wanted to crochet something special for my Mother's birthday, and I asked her to choose a pattern. This was her pattern choice.
What are you most proud of?
I deviated from the pattern by using two different weight cotton threads together, instead of one size 3 cotton thread called for in the pattern. I also lengthened the front flap because I liked the look better. I'm not creative enough to design my own purse pattern, but I am pleased that the changes I made to an existing pattern turned out so nice.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you it doesn't feel right after you first start a project, don't be afraid to make changes -- to make it the way YOU like it.
