What was your inspiration?

As soon as I got my Love of Quilting magazine that month I knew I had to make this quilt. As always, I take a pattern and add my touch to it, changing parts to suit me and making use of fabrics I have. Of course if I need more fabric I love, love, that shopping trip.

What are you most proud of?

Every quilt I make is a learning process. The border on this quilt was made with leftovers, however, there wasn't quite enough to make a solid border so I had to become creative and add a few more strips in-between to make it fit. When this happens my quilts become unique and very satisfying.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid to stray from the pattern and add your own touches. It's so rewarding.

Thanks, there are lots of little 1 inch pieces that make it look labor intensive, but we quilters know the trick to getting around that.
