What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a great pattern for using up left-overs. Just use up one color, and then the next. Make it as big as you want. It's nice and thick and really keeps you warm. Works up quickly too!

This project is intended to be in a rectangular pattern. How do you make it square off as you have done in this pic?

I make it with the increases at both sides like the pattern says, and then when it's time to start the decrease rows, I decrease at both sides instead of just one.

Opps I meant in a V pattern. Now, how do you make it go square.

You mean this one the stripes are diagonal, and you want to know how to make it with the stripes going straight? For that you would need a totally different pattern, I think it's called the Brick Stitch.
