Have fun! I repeated the design in the narrower borders by using 1/2 feathers that mirrored the larger feathers. Practice drawing it to scale first (and often) on paper.Difficulty:

Learning how to turn the corner (literally!) and give the spine a nice curve.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't try this on your best quilt until you've done a lot of practicing. I always draw it out on paper first. It gets easier to make a pretty feather when you practice. They won't all be perfect - accept that and just keep going.
