Materials
This ring is made from 18 gauge copper wire. I wrapped it to create this sweet heart. It has been hammered and then oxidized for the aged/ antique look.
What was your inspiration?
Copper is such a wonderful medium to use. It's soft enough to create with and it takes on the aging process so nicely. I'm inspired by all the artists I have seen recently who use copper in the jewelry work.
What are you most proud of?
I'm so very happy that I have actually had some sales of my rings from my Etsy shop. And just found out someone has added this ring to a treasury they created. I'm still very new to jewelry making so to have this bit of recognition is so great. <3
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid of the wire. Dive right in, you'll have a great time. And if you need any help don't hesitate to ask. (Oh and having the proper tools helps too. ;)
