What was your inspiration?
I just needed a simple design to show off the gorgeous colours of this yarn. This delightful pattern came up in a search on Ravelry. It was exactly what I was looking for. I have a collection of these small shawls/scarves which I use to keep my neck and shoulders warm during the winter months. I just love the lace pattern of this one and am really looking forward to wearing it.
What are you most proud of?
I listened to Stefanie Japel's advice on blocking in her "Knit Lab" course. She had suggested spinning a knitted item before blocking as an alternative to squeezing out into a towel. It worked so well with this scarf - it made blocking it far more of a pleasure and it dried overnight. Wonderful.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just relax into the lace pattern, it really is a delight to knit. Use your nicest, softest yarn so you will love wearing it when it is finished.
