Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. This schematic displays how to determine the length of one's Cone of Vision Tool [60] using the diameter of the tube. As one can see if the diameter is 1" then the length of the tube is 7/8" long. If the diameter is 2", the length is 1 1/4" and at 3" the length is 2 5/8". [These lengths are approximate to the nearest 1/8.]

Now I see how one comes up with these proportions to make different sized cones. Thank you for sharing this information, it's really interesting.

I wonder if you would be good enough to help me out with this question, "What would be the circumstance be that one would need a wider and wider cone of vision?"

Interesting question jamread. The reason that I included the schematic is not that one would necessarily want a wider and wider cone of vision tool; but that there may be different diameter tubes from which one can choose. This schematic is meant to show you the length to cut the tube no matter what the diameter.

Thank you Patrick! I thought that was the case and I still would like to say, this is very helpful when making a cone of vision. I hope that others take note of it.
