Comfy Cowl Neck Pullover

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Comfy Cowl Neck Pullover »

Instructions

This pattern has set in sleeves and directions for 2 different methods of making them. I really recommend trying the sleeve "top down" so you don't have to sew it in. Even if you have never done a "top down" sleeve before, this pattern has very detailed instructions to get you thorugh it successfully.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Preppy, Classic, Casual, Traditional, Retro / Vintage, Hipster

Materials

DK weight yarn and size 6 needles.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted something very wearable, but with a little style.

What are you most proud of?

I love the way the set in sleeves are done, just knit in around the armhole and then knit down to the bottom of the sleeve.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Try the "top down" knit in sleeve.

Really nice. Like the cowl neck it is so wearable. What yarn did you use? It looks hand dyed.

I used a washable wool by Plymouth Yarn Company. It is a yarn they first developed for sock yarn, Happy Feet and it was so popular they added a DK weight. It is 90% superwash Merino Wool and 10% nylon. That means it is washable and it wears well. I have not had any problems with pilling. The colors are not solid so that gives you the hand dyed look.
