Instructions

I saw a picture of a quilt done by Kaffe Fassett (or from one of his books, anyway) and liked the idea so I printed the picture and calculated the proportions of the squares and washings and worked from there.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Infant/Baby

Style: Traditional

Materials

Batik cotton fat quarters (each square a different fabric.

What was your inspiration?

A photo I saw online of a quilt done by Kaffe Fassett (or it was done by someone from one of his books).

What are you most proud of?

I was pleased with the colour progressions, including the binding which mirrored the colour changes.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Choose strong patterned fabrics. I used strong batiks but you could use strong print fabrics - the point here is to set up the flow of colour...
