* Sewing machine * Fabric (since I was making 7 of these, I bought 4 yards of printed fabric, 1 yard of red, 1 yard of blue, and 1 yard of purple) * Thread * Scissors * Fabric glue * Measuring tape * Elastic * Velcro * Coloring books & crayons * Computer (for printing monogram letters as a pattern)

What was your inspiration?

I have many children in my family and wanted to make them something special for Christmas. They love to color and when I saw this pattern on Craftsy, I knew it would be perfect for them.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud that my monograming and applique abilities are getting slightly better.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This was such an easy and functional project, I decided to also feature it on my blog (http://itriedthatcrafter.blogspot.com/) for a late November entry. There are a few tips and many pictures on how I put mine together. The original pattern I downloaded from Craftsy is a great help with easy to understand instructions. A great project for a beginner or something fun for the weekend. Happy sewing!!
