What was your inspiration?
I didn't start out making this quilt. I was actually using the 4 patch blocks with another fabric that had cats playing soccer. When I laid it all out, it was way too busy so I pulled the 4 patches and used just a square of the green dotted fabric to complete the first quilt. So back to the fabric store for move fabric. I chose a white tone on tone with alphabet letters. The border fabric was a remnant left from another project and it had a lot of the colors in the four patch blocks. I love the frogs on the back just for some whimsey. I long armed a hearts and loops pattern in green thread to finish it up.
What are you most proud of?
I never let a misjudgement in fabric choice stop me from going back to the quilt shop!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Very simple project but fun to do. Use your fabric stash to make a colorful display.
