How did you quilt it? I'm trying to decide how to to mine.

I haven't quilted it yet. It is just the finished top. My niece has a longarm and is going to quilt it for me. She is going to email me several pattern ideas and I am going to choose. She is also going to try several color choices for the quilting. The backing has more of the violet and orange, so she will audition several options and email me.

I'll be anxious to know what you decide. I laid mine out differently. It is more symmetrical. I needed some calm in the madness. I finished sewing it yesterday. I will post a picture soon.

I understand. It is not a calming quilt when you combine the colors of the fabrics and the asymmetrical joining of the blocks. We are thinking a swirl-like pattern that looks like waves, not sure about the thread color yet. She is supposed to send me samples. This is soooo not out usual style, can't believe my husband wants it in our room..

We decided to use an interlocking spiral pattern with gray thread. 7/31/14

You select the nicest color combos.

On this one I used fabrics that came in the kit and the advice from the color theory class. But thanks. So far, this is my family's favorite. Everyone wants it. My husband says we're keeping it!

I like how you laid out the long strips. It looks very nice on your bed.

Thanks. . .
